I have been scrapbooking for about 7 years now, after being introduced to the craft by a friend just after a big trip to New Zealand. I wish I had known about scrapbooking before that trip – I would have paid far more attention to my photo composition!

I have been wanting my own business for at least 10 years and decided to take the plunge in mid 2006. After noticing that whenever women spoke about scrapbooking they would say “Oh, I love scrapbooking!”, the name of my shop was found!

I would describe my style as clean; I just can’t get into Shabby Chic. I really enjoy introducing people to scrapbooking and teaching them the easy way to use tools and products. I do warn them that this craft is very addictive, and that for some it becomes a way of life.

I have been scrapbooking for about 6-7 years now. I was first introduced to scrapbooking when I was invited to a Creative Memories Party. At first I thought it was not for me because I didn’t want to be scrapbooking an album of my kids for the next 18 years, it would be a project never finished, so I started with a subject that I knew would have an ending – My House. Once I had all the tools it was easy to also make cards. As there weren’t any shops around when I first started in the early years, I subscribed to a number of industry magazines and learnt a lot of skills and picked up most my tips from them and had to wait for all the lovely paper ranges to reach Western Australia.

I am a big fan of Becky Higgins, Ali Edwards and Cathy Zielske because I love their style and I love how Ali just plays. Creating Keepsakes and the Simple Scrapbooks magazines are the best.

In my style I long for a slick, clean and uncluttered look but quite often it ends up with a little more stuff, but still looks good. When it comes to creating a layout, my main focus will always be on the photos and story. I am definitely not into the lumpy and bumpy or shabby chic style. My favourite paper lines are Basic Grey, Chatterbox, Scenic Route and My Mine’s Eye. I am also quite taken with stamps – rubber or acrylic, it doesn’t matter. Rhonna Farrer’s Acrylic Flourishes are just beautiful. I love how you can position them exactly on the page.

As a new challenge for myself and hopefully to stop my stash taking over the house, I have ventured into the world of Digital Scrapping.

I moved to WA almost two years ago from the Eastern states - my 'tree change'.

I love all paper crafts - but my favourites are stamping and punch-art. I got my first punches 20 years ago (a small heart and star and I still have them!).

I've worked for paper crafting shops, teaching and demonstrating, in the Eastern states and have had a couple of articles published in 'Stamping and Papercraft'.

My style and designing tends to lean toward 'cute' - but I am working on moving out of my comfort zone!
